27 Jun 19 UTC I am trying to do every variant on this site at least once. I won’t be doing this one again. Seems flawed to me that Russia takes Sebastopol and Kra and then cannot be dislodged or defeated. Similarly only Azerbaijan can get a fleet into caspian. This variant needs to be “build anywhere” or allow armies to transform to fleets
27 Jun 19 UTC Thanks for the game everyone. In the end lucky to draw. Russia we had a stalemate line one year ago if your fleet in Black Sea supported Abc. You didn’t need to gamble and lose it. I entered orders to take TSk to keep Chechnya below winning but knew I couldn’t hold it. Desperation move in the last turn to take Gya (I thought that was defendable and we were lost, but looking again maybe nothing Chechnya could have done to prevent).

Sorry for the stab rann, though you’ve been winning every game we’ve been together in recently, so not that sorry ;-)
27 Jun 19 UTC Actually Gya would help with a double defend without losing anything else. So I’ll take the (lucky) draw we should have had one turn before
27 Jun 19 UTC Yeah gg everyone. Yeah though I had a chance at the win on this one as well Graham. This is the second time I've played this one, and it is unfortunately not very playable. Like you said, it is too annoying not being able to build anywhere or at least transform armies into fleets. Russia was able to keep pestering me with absolutely nothing I can do. Most likely wont be playing this one again.
27 Jun 19 UTC Yeah, that gamble was unnecessary on my part. Overall Russia was a pretty annoying power to play--too stretched out at the beginning, and impossible to fully eliminate at the end unless you're Georgia. I hope someone comes up with a better version of this because I love the idea of a variant set in this region.
27 Jun 19 UTC Making it build anywhere or the ability to transform units and adding maybe 2-3 more neutral centers would make this variant much more enjoyable.
29 Jun 19 UTC I was stalemated when Armenia was supporting Georgian frontline troops, and was ready to vote for a draw, but the moment Armenia stabbed, I realized I had one narrow chance for a solo and almost pulled it off.
29 Jun 19 UTC If I had used Lag to support the move from Sha to Gya, I would have had it.
29 Jun 19 UTC But I agree with the other criticisms - Georgia is terribly squeezed, and Russia is practically unkillable.
29 Jun 19 UTC I couldn't do a lot with one unit being a fleet, I agree with Georgia a transform option would help a lot.
