Spring, 1098: As I sat eating lunch, a sudden feeling came over me. *I'm not ready, not ready at all,* I thought. Despite all of my careful planning and confirmation with others, I was overwhelmed by an unshakable sense of unpreparedness. My fork clattered to my plate as I hung my head. It couldn't be! Had I not done everything as needed? What was this shift I felt in reality that has left my heart and mind so disturbed? But it was inescapable. I was simply not ready. Everything had to be carefully checked, carefully redone. As the vast burden of work I could now see ahead crashed over me, I hung my head, a single tear falling into my plate of tomato soup. |

Autumn, 1098: How are convoys developed? |
08 Aug 20 UTC |
Autumn, 1098: You can assign an army to move (via convoy) and then assign every fleet they move on to convoy from x to y |
09 Aug 20 UTC |
Autumn, 1098: How do you assign one to do that? Not all of my units have a convoy option. |
09 Aug 20 UTC |
Autumn, 1098: Army units can be assigned to convoy if: They are in a coastal province; There is a fleet in a sea zone adjacent to them; There is a path via fleets in sea zones to another coastal province. These fleets do not have to be your fleets, nor do they have to be assigned to convoy for you to attempt to convoy, BUT if there is not one complete path of undislodged fleets who have convoy orders from where you are to where you're going to convoy will fail |
09 Aug 20 UTC |
Autumn, 1098: For instance, the English unit in Oxfordshire could be assigned this turn to move via convoy to Finnmark. In order for the order to succeed, the French fleets in Irish Sea and English Channel as well as the English fleets in the North Sea and Norwegian Sea would all have to be assigned to convoy from Oxfordshire to Finnmark |

Autumn, 1098: And of course there's the standard combat rules if the target province is contested |

Autumn, 1098: If you try to move but it doesn’t work, does it count as a hold? |
