31 May 21 UTC Autumn, 1899: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
21 Jun 21 UTC France you're an absolute idiot
21 Jun 21 UTC Also, Austria - what the hell was that? You cannot ignore the east. I mean, some of this was my fault for an atrocious 1902, but it's like nobody was interested in countering Turkey
21 Jun 21 UTC Good game Czech. You were relentless.
21 Jun 21 UTC I do thank France, without him this was a draw. I even had draw up and figured he was the holdout and withdrew my draw figuring Russia would weaken.

GG
21 Jun 21 UTC Oh so that's what happened
21 Jun 21 UTC gg
21 Jun 21 UTC Doesn’t look like much opposition to Turkey throughout. Russia concentrated a lot on Scandinavia and Austria decided to be German from the start. Left a big vacuum in the south east.
My game never even got started as I was blocked in all directions - oh well.
21 Jun 21 UTC Yeah my gameplay probably went away Spring 1900 when I decided not to go for Rumania. My plan all along was to focus on Scandinavia and take down Germany, so I had wanted to be in Warsaw for that phase 2....little did I know or expect England would already be in Den and Austria in Germany. And I thought going into Rum would put myself in the middle of an A/T fight I didn't want any part of - and thought a reasonable Austria would possibly kick me out of there by fall...so didn't want any part of that.

And again, had I made a better move in fall 02 things would've turned out differently...but Austria's move to Silesia freaked me out because by that point I knew he had suicided on Germany...just didn't know if he'd go full yolo and hop into Warsaw as well. But I was worried about the moveset Rum-Bud with Serbia support, Armenia taps Sev...because my ideal moveset there was Bud supports Gal-Rum, Ukr hold Sev...and I had no idea if England or Austria would snipe SCs off of me, so I played it safe as possible
21 Jun 21 UTC Haha. Trust me. I was no danger to anyone from the second move onwards
21 Jun 21 UTC I just realized Italy built an army as their first build haha...why???
21 Jun 21 UTC Good game all!

What little I can add - you live and you learn. I thought I was making some bold/risky moves early on (Munich in the opening year seemed cheeky) and after getting into Kiel the following year, my bed was already made. I thought I could destroy Germany while keeping Italy at bay. Well neither happened. Then it was scramble time, me getting back to my homeland... and I think I could have made that work (or had a better chance) had Russia decided to work with me. I thought my move Sil->Gal would show them I was not interested in Warsaw, nor fighting them at all.

Then everything finished imploding on me.
21 Jun 21 UTC I mean, there wasn't anything to cooperate on. Even if I had backfilled Gal, I saw Italy in Trieste and knew you were fighting there, and I knew of all of Turkeys 6 units in the area. I wasn't getting Rum back. Or Sev back. I was *hoping* that since all but 1 of Turkeys units (by my count) was fighting me, Italy would light them up from underneath...but until I saw the Turkish troops pull away I'd solidify the Baltic.
