Potentially a chance I could have pushed on for a fairly attritional solo there, but that Northeast Atlantic move was a real setback. It could have taken weeks more to sort out to only a similar four way draw.

Excellent defences Near East and Australia, I really thought South Africa had left an opening for me there but you guys won the important moves in the Med and South America.

Sincere apologies to USA for my early game stab, it seems to be the roughest faction to draw on this map and I stabbed during the best start it's seen on the map.

Thanks all, I enjoyed it.
11 Nov 21 UTC [Argentina]:Good game everyone!
11 Nov 21 UTC [Near East]:First, ggs. Second, phew. I was quite worried about the attrition solo.

Shoutout to Egypt. We figured things out after the openings and you died honorably o7
Shoutout to Russia. Needed your centers to make the draw, in a different world I could see you defeating Europe and making the draw too.

Thanks to South Africa and Australia for seeing what was needed for a draw, even if y'all did confusingly fight on the seas for over a decade :P

For @Canada, since this might interest you. I saw my line as -3 from Italy, Ukraine, and Moscow. Iran + East Central Asia hold West Central Asia. One unit blocks ARM. Might lose Lanzhou but just need to fill Afg, Delhi, TIbet, Bangladesh with units to hold that hopefully.

The opening is really West/East Med, as you identified with the loss of NE Atl. I was trying to signal Red Sea -> Egypt to South Africa to help shore up West Med and prepare for my predicted -3 in europe.
11 Nov 21 UTC [Canada]:Yes Near East that's a very good analysis, I think I missed the point to seize the initiative - that stalemate line in central Asia is really quite tricky to get to especially when compared with the oceans etc. I had pinpointed Ukraine and Moscow as take-able (Italy I thought I wasn't able after South Africa got involved in West Med), and had I guessed well then South America and the Pacific might have yielded the other four SCs.

Midgame mistakes cost me I reckon, despite what was otherwise a big charge. I failed to take Peru foolishly when I could have, and built incorrectly by taking China with fleets rather than convoys. Australia showed excellent restraint to not take open Near East SCs for several years of having the opportunity. I was sorely tempted to see whether South Africa would continue to attack Australia next year, but given the lost ground in Pacific and Atlantic I was just tired of it tbh after months of this game.

Many players showed some great tactics this game too, mostly unrewarded in position but great to see.

12 Nov 21 UTC [Australia]:Yes great game, I'm delighted to have lasted to a draw after a great start and then constant battling. Australia is a fun faction with fleet tactics and few armies.
South Africa that went from epic to very worrying the last three years, I was honestly cursing as I thought attacking West Atlantic and South America was gonna hand the entire WTA game to Canada. Still good game. I'm quite surprise that the draw came this year but reading your comment Canada I too understand and appreciate it. I'm very glad you attacked China more than me at a point many years ago as I did not have sufficient defending units in the Pacific until much later. It was the right choice as there were more SCs in that area than available in Australia and Indonesia.
My only regrets are not going for Asia more, and just leaving alone Madagascar and Mozambique channel, I never planned to attack Africa but for wanting to stop South Africa from getting at the Indian Ocean and Antarctica.
Argentina you frustrated me for so many years, well done, it was good tactics and tied up my units.
Very fun everyone, despite the small frustrations we get in gunboat games.
12 Nov 21 UTC [South Africa]:Great game all, even though I NMR'd once.

@Near East, thanks for teaming up after our initial squabbles. I was definitely scratching my head over you taking Kenya from me and then signaling allyship in the very beginning. It all worked out though which I'm glad about.

@Australia the "very worrying" occurred when you went for Madagascar I believe, from then on, it was very difficult to not see you as a threat even with Canada surging. Had you vacated, trust would've been restored. But again, it worked out and I'm glad.

@Canada not much between us till the end and NEA was all I was thinking about there but excellent overall on your part.
12 Nov 21 UTC [EU]:Good game all
12 Nov 21 UTC [Argentina]:@Australia that was a very good fight we had
