15 Oct 21 UTC	Autumn, 1885: 3PM Friday the 15th of October, The Austro-Hungarian government formally condemns the actions of the Kingdom of Italy due to their reckless disregard for their fellow peaceful European compatriots. Yesterday morning citizens in the town of Trieste awoke to the sounds of artillery shells raining down across the city from an Italian fleet. We have received reports of children being murdered in their sleep and mothers and daughters scattered remains lining the cobbled streets. Such barbaric actions mean Italy cannot be trusted. I advise all who are allied with them to think twice about relations with these scoundrels.

01 Nov 21 UTC	Spring, 1887: The Japanese Government views the recent expansionist aggression of Russia with great worry, and is moved to formally condemn the recent attacks of the Russians. Specifically in the last few months the world has seen Russian attacks against the Japanese in the Sea of Okhotsk, against the Chinese in Mukden, against the Turkish in Tabriz, against the German heartland of Prussia and against the British in Norway. These attacks against five sovereign nations should rightfully be abhorred by the world, and the Japanese Government calls for international censuring of Russia and her warmongering.
01 Nov 21 UTC	Spring, 1887: My dear comrades, this threat by the Japanese government is simply a strategic ploy to strongarm innocent nations into fighting General McRae's dirty battles. The Russian government cautions all nations that an attempt on Russian soil will end in unnecessary bloodshed for both sides. General McRae is unwilling and frankly unable to fight his own battles and is resorting to taking advantage of foreign "disposable" assets. If Japan wants a war then Japan should have the guts to step up itself.

06 Feb 22 UTC	Spring, 1891: BREAKING: King Tommy van Nassau of the Koninkrijk der Nederlanden has made his address on the recent military defeats in Europe: "People of my kingdom, her allies, and her enemies; it comes with great regret that I acknowledge the fall of the motherland into British hands. Even as we now speak, their filthy boots trod the lands of our forebears with the iconic British ignorance of the history made, of the blood spilled on the sacred grounds of our Homeland. Our people fought valiantly; Spring had come and gone and come once again before our tiny defensive force finally laid down arms against the so-called 'Great British Empire'. And while this 'great' conquest against a tiny foe was taking place, guess what else fell, just across the channel? As the last of our men retreated into Helgoland Bight, guns blazing, eyes weeping for what had been lost, the sky was painted the black of death. At first, our men feared, then they realised that justice had come swiftly and with great vengeance; for the blackness was the soot from the pillaging of London. The British had taken our lands, but at what cost? And now to my enemies, I say this: there are whispers amongst the French of what they found upon arriving in London. Rather than a furious fighting force, they found a British army in disarray. The whispers say that this army had heard of the might of the Dutch army, how they held against an unstoppable force for months on end, and they knew that their defence of London was hopeless. They knew retribution was coming for them, for such courage and valiance outlives even death herself. And those whispers, my dear enemies, are getting louder. They may have already reached your own ears. Slowly they swell, reaching a torrent, drowning out all opposition. This is it, this is the day of your reckoning, for when my people lose their homeland, we cried out and fought back and struck with such fervour, such anger, that the clamour of our combat shall echo for generations. But when your own homelands fall, meeting their end by Dutch hands, they will not be so vibrant, so beautiful. They shall end not with a battlecry as ours did, but with a whisper."
26 Apr 22 UTC	Autumn, 1893: Gentlemen, Welcome to The Convention Taking Place In Geneva (open for name suggestions). It has been almost ten years now since the world knew peace, and though this has been a grand struggle for honour and glory, it has also been a time that has ravished the world and cost us many of the next generation. It is the duty of Great Powers to exert their influence for the betterment of not only their own people, but also for geopolitical stability around the globe. To this end, the French Empire wishes to put forward the possibility of a new world order, centred on a military and civil alliance to unite the nations under one authority. Entry is by unanimous vote of current members, France being the initial member naturally, and then troop movements will be agreed by consensus. You have until the end of spring to decide, after which this great new state of Eurasia will vigorously uphold its claim to sole possession of the world. Once the earth is scoured of rebels and miscreants, Eurasia will, at last, be able to put down the sword and raise again the ploughshare to secure a peaceful and pleasant life for our children. 01 May 22 UTC	Autumn, 1893: BREAKING: King Tommy van Nassau of the Koninkrijk der Nederlanden has made his address on the recent talks of a cease to the global conflict: "Almost ten years ago, fighting and bloodshed broke out across the globe as rapid, bloodthirsty expansion engulfed the 'civilised' world. As the dust begins to settle, it has become clearer than ever that there is only one route to peace; honest discussion and legitimate peace talks. I address first the people of the Koninkrijk der Nederlanden; our military conquests have been great but our casualties greater. While we have expanded beyond what I believed to be possible, it is true that it has come at great expense. It is in the honour of our fallen that I rename our great nation to reflect our new status on the world stage. We are now the Nederlands Koninkrijk van het Zuiden: the Dutch Kingdom of the South. Next, I address not the world leaders as is customary, but instead their people. I understand the pain and suffering contained within the last decade, and I know the how much longer still the healing process will take. That is why the Nederlands Koninkrijk van het Zuiden is committed to aiding your rebuilding; to every country that enters legitimate peace talks toward ending this global conflict, you will not only receive a powerful ally but also reduced tariffs and discounts on exports and imports for a guaranteed ten year period. Additionally, mooring costs in all regional capitals will be halved for the first week to encourage tourism and trade. So please encourage your respective leaders to engage in peace talks for the betterment of the entire world. Finally, I turn to my fellow leaders; while there are undeniably winners and losers, major empires have risen and fallen in this time, and we may all take solace in knowing that, while some of us may be diminished in land or forces, we have survived. With that established, I must ask of you all that you begin to lay down your weapons and enter peace talks with honesty and integrity. The world is fractured, but together we can make it whole. Please consider my above offers and we can enter diplomatic negotiations to transfer lands, territories, and resources. 01 May 22 UTC	Autumn, 1893: Kaiser Wilhelm Plan 1893 The Kaiser Wilhelm Plan 1893 (KWP) seeks to create a fair partition of Europe in order to end the past decade of conflict between the major powers of Europe. Many smaller countries and nations have suffered due to these expanding empires who have found it very difficult to coexist with one another. Nowhere is this felt more than in the European lands West of the Doldrums and Orenburg. A major result of this “Great War” was inability for the major powers plus their lesser counterparts to sustainably occupy the small continent that is Europe. Geography played a key role, as an example; Mediterranean countries suffered a disadvantage to those on the Atlantic with easy access to global trading routes inhibiting them from expanding sustainably using the expansive lands of Africa and the Orient. The KWP will therefore aim to prevent the confides of Europe and North Africa from sparking another Great War. To fairly partition Europe, several factors have been considered such as: conquered lands, new cultural borders and fair compensation for frontier realignment. The following details major proposals for each country. Germany Due to the previously fractured nature of Germany, the major powers of Europe sought to rid the continent of the German Monarchy in order to incorporate the former friendly vassals and city states into their realm. As a result, the German monarchy has fled to, and established itself in Sweden. Therefore: -France shall relinquish control of Norway -Russia will agree to a ceasefire along the Finnish Frontier. -Britain will sign Icelandic sovereignty over to the German Monarchy The German Monarch will now have defined territory that is consolidated with the addition of Norway, to prevent Germany from being entirely decimated. A small step to avoiding any future hostilities. Netherlands The Netherlands' survival hung on its access to the Atlantic allowing it to sustainably occupy overseas colonies and maintain peaceful ties with its European Neighbors. Unfortunately, the Dutch Monarchy was forced to abandon its Capital of Amsterdam when the French and the British took turns at occupying Holland. Eventually, the Dutch captured lands from the unsuspecting Germans. Therefore: -Denmar,Kiel and Cologne will remain under the Dutch crown -France will return Holland and the Dutch capital back to the Netherlands -Austria will sign Belgium back to the Netherlands The Netherlands will be rebuilt, along with a strong foothold in Europe. This creates space for the Dutch to comfortably negotiate peace outside of Europe without fear of future invasions. France The French have widely been condemned as the aggressors in Europe and abroad with many calling out foul play and blaming the bulk of casualties from their tactics. In order to create a peaceful Europe France must relinquish territory. This is the only path that will result in large swathes of France being returned to the Republic. Therefore: -France must evacuate out of Norway and Holland -Negotiate a tripartite agreement between themselves Russia and Austria for compensation in North Africa -The Return of Southern, Western and Eastern France and Spain to the Republic from Austrian control France keeps major possessions in Europe in return for giving up territories and gains a comfortable strategic border that can comfortably allow for diplomatic efforts to be focused elsewhere. Austria Undoubtedly defying the odds, the Austrians sought to rebuild their once great empire in Europe for the benefit of their peoples prosperity, unfortunately to the demise of many. Simultaneously Austria allowed for major Russian advances in the East due to a strong military pact. However, war has taken its toll on the economy and peace is now more valuable than extra land. Therefore: -Austria will sign the newly conquered lands of Belgium over to the Dutch -Hand French and Spanish territories over to France in return for adequate compensation in North Africa -Negotiate with the Russians for the partition of Arabia Austria loses significant portions of land with the hopes that this land will be compensated in North Africa.
