05 Nov 21 UTC Well played Lord Wolf, a rare Athens win. Absolutely disastrous start for me - to get 1 out of 4 bids, which I promptly followed up with an idiotic and lazy minded move in the Autumn ensured my early departure ...

Anyone for another?
05 Nov 21 UTC gg Well played, and Sparta you should had build more fleets so I could lock your 4 armys out with just two of mine
05 Nov 21 UTC and yes I would go with an other round
05 Nov 21 UTC Homer's Odd I See 3 is up!
05 Nov 21 UTC gg
05 Nov 21 UTC I think I was too slow in going for one direction
05 Nov 21 UTC I spent the first years turning towards Athen, then Persia and then Athen again
05 Nov 21 UTC Well played, Athens.
05 Nov 21 UTC One question
05 Nov 21 UTC If you don't use all your bid points in the first turn, do you loose them or can you play them after?
06 Nov 21 UTC Disastrous start for me as well. As for why I built no fleets? I’d like to know as well. I never got the option, unless I didn’t notice missing a turn. I vaguely remember there being a bug with some builds in this variant, I’ll have to scan back through the mod forum and see if I can find the discussion about it. Anyone have building issues?

Anyway, all I could hope for is holding my little area. Lord Wolf would have leisurely picked me apart if he hadn’t already won. Congrats on the win!
06 Nov 21 UTC You get standard builds depending on which territory you win after bidding. Anyway my bids panned out so badly I didn’t have any chance to recover next to overpowering Persia.
06 Nov 21 UTC You should have noticed the threat that was Athens and moved westwards. At one point I even support holded you to signal peace but it wasn't displayed on the small map.

I think the hardest thing about gunboat is to judge how much and what kind of thinking you can expect from your opponents. Rhodes I think noticed I didn't want to harm it at some point. I only tried to capute an island from him in the turn it was obvious Athens would reach the solo count.
