24 Jan 22 UTC | Bidding: (Rookster): Ok - so a few notes: The first round is bidding for your home SC. This works a lot like moving into an sc. Basically every SC on the map except the one that is already colored in for you is up for bids... so like if Byzantium really wanted to they could bid for Corcyra, Melos, Therma and Thassos. You get four coins to bid with. If yours is the highest bid for an sc, you win that sc (and automatically get the troop type listed for it) - you can ONLY build on the home scs you bid on (and your first one that you don't have to bid for) |
24 Jan 22 UTC | Bidding: (Rookster): So negotiations start happening before anyone even has an SC... like it would be optimal to start with 5 of them... but it's difficult to stop people from spending one of theirs to screw with you. |
24 Jan 22 UTC | Bidding: (Rookster): outside of that - ships are very powerful on this map - there are very few landlocked SCs (2) |
25 Jan 22 UTC | Bidding: OK, I'm gonna bid on Pergamum, Therma, Halicarnassus and Chalies... so nobody else go for those. |

25 Jan 22 UTC | Bidding: haha, no SCs, you can't bid on those. |
25 Jan 22 UTC | Bidding: you didn't have an sc next to your home. |
