16 Feb 22 UTC | Spring, 1860: all armies first turn |
16 Feb 22 UTC | Autumn, 1860: I've never had that. |
16 Feb 22 UTC | Autumn, 1860: I have played a lot on this map and I'm trying to figure out the best strategy. |
16 Feb 22 UTC | Autumn, 1860: Is there a sandbox that exists for this variant? |
16 Feb 22 UTC | Spring, 1861: I don't know, I only play real games. |
16 Feb 22 UTC | Spring, 1861: I don't know, I only play real games. |
17 Feb 22 UTC | Spring, 1862: Wtf it didn’t populate my fleet at NYC. Would you be willing to hold a year so I can get it populated |
17 Feb 22 UTC | Spring, 1862: Or we could do some set of bounces if you’re concerned I am lying |
17 Feb 22 UTC | Spring, 1862: Hm that happened to me as well in a game. If you want we can do a year of nothing. |
17 Feb 22 UTC | Spring, 1862: Ok I will order all to hold. Thank you for trusting me |
17 Feb 22 UTC | Autumn, 1862: Okay, another hold turn and then you can build yor fleet. |
17 Feb 22 UTC | Autumn, 1862: Sounds good. Ty |
18 Feb 22 UTC | gg |
18 Feb 22 UTC | GameMaster: Union voted for a Concede. If everyone (but one) votes concede the game will end and the player _not_ voting Concede will get all the points. Everybody else will get a defeat. |
18 Feb 22 UTC | This one was pretty quick and suprisingly easy for me |
18 Feb 22 UTC | yeah, I kind of want to go back through the past three games and see where I fucked up lol. and thanks again for trusting me on that missed fleet build on year 2 |
18 Feb 22 UTC | I don't like the Philadelphia opening but I don't know if it is worse than my Ontario opening or the Massachusets opening. Going for West Virginia was a good decision, especially given that I supported myself to kentucky (I would have played Ohio->Kentucky and DC -> WV, whoch in this case wouls have been worse) I think your lethal move was going to Massachusets as that gave me the fleet in Cape May I needed to take DC. I would on your part have moved Cape May to East Coast I think. Also going for Richmond was a waste of units, you should have supportet Ohio to Kentucky. When Confederacy holds both Kentucky and Richmond and has a fleet in Cape May it's baisically over. |
18 Feb 22 UTC | My playstyle is that I hardly ever attempt an attack when the opponent can guarantee to hold it. When the units can be used for something else, I use them for something else. I tend to only do attacks when I can guarantee a sucess (or of course when it's a guessing game) Also especially in this map I prefer a good position to an additional center conquered, as the builds are limited to three anyway and oftentimes even fewer as the home centers are blocked in many cases it's better to move troops into better positions than to take additional centers. |
