07 Feb 12 UTC Spring, 1901: (Imagonnalose): Out of random curiosity do you watch/read science fiction?
07 Feb 12 UTC Spring, 1901: (Praed): Big fan of Iain M Banks.
07 Feb 12 UTC Spring, 1901: (Imagonnalose): ok. nice
07 Feb 12 UTC Spring, 1901: Not so much good stuff these days. I've heard the older sci-fi (60's) was better. I'm more into fantasy-fiction these days. You?
07 Feb 12 UTC Autumn, 1901: well, i got really into star wars at first, but then it lost its appeal because it wasn't realistic. then i switched over to Trek bc, while it made a LOT of assumptions with technology, it is actually surprisingly realistic. ive done some research into the science behind it and there is actually a lot of good stuff there.

my newest baby is Stargate though.....modern time action, with a flair of history, and a dash of fantasy/futuristic stuff
07 Feb 12 UTC Autumn, 1901: Oh..I just mentioned the reading. Movies...Star Wars of course.
07 Feb 12 UTC Autumn, 1901: Trek..not so much. Next Gen I found ok.
07 Feb 12 UTC Autumn, 1901: im partial to jules verne....old school
07 Feb 12 UTC Autumn, 1902: I'm finding this difficult. Mainly the time constraint.
07 Feb 12 UTC Autumn, 1902: really? well this is easy compared to a 7 player game lol. most players on webdip will not play 10 or 15 minute games...
07 Feb 12 UTC Autumn, 1902: it forces you to think quickly, but its something to work on though, and I'd be happy to help with that.
07 Feb 12 UTC Autumn, 1902: It's the number of troops combined with the time. Aaaagh!
07 Feb 12 UTC Spring, 1903: yeah it gets pretty intense lol
07 Feb 12 UTC Autumn, 1903: Great...now I'm boxed in my own country.
07 Feb 12 UTC Autumn, 1903: tee hee...i didnt plan that or anything ;)
07 Feb 12 UTC Autumn, 1904: we will talk about this after the game, i have some thoughts for you.
07 Feb 12 UTC Autumn, 1904: That would be great. To be honest, I'm too frazzled to talk at the moment :)
07 Feb 12 UTC Spring, 1905: we will go year by year. :)
07 Feb 12 UTC Quick question- in order to own a country, do you have to spend some time in it (on hold)?
07 Feb 12 UTC nope....you just have to be in it in the fall
