13 Feb 24 UTC | Some general tips, these hold true for all 1v1 maps where the opponents start close to each other and there is a "front", such as this one and the American one. On those maps, it's important to get those centers early that both players want. On this map those would be Spain, Marseilles, Vienna, Budapest, Rumania for example. So it is important to get troops there quickly. Those centers that are clearly on one side of the map, such as Holland, England, the Scandinavian ones for you, The south balcan and Turkey for me, can be taken at any time later in the game. The deciding centers are the ones I mentioned earlier. So a good German opening goes for Belgium in year 1, Brest in year 2, Spain in year 3, while a good Italian opening convoys the army to Greece to then contest Rumania in year 2. |
