09 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 1901: good luck |
09 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 1901: Hmm... here goes nothing. |
09 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 1901: Same to you. |
09 Mar 11 UTC | Autumn, 1901: ever played this one? |
09 Mar 11 UTC | Autumn, 1901: A couple times, yeah. |
09 Mar 11 UTC | Autumn, 1901: your record is amazing... |
09 Mar 11 UTC | Autumn, 1901: Heh heh. Thank you. Yours is pretty stellar too. I'm looking forward to a good round. |
09 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 1902: Thanks, |
09 Mar 11 UTC | Autumn, 1902: Sorry for taking so long these last few turns. |
09 Mar 11 UTC | Autumn, 1902: It's just as well. I've been a little busy myself. |
09 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 1903: long diplomatic discussion in another game? |
09 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 1903: My response was brief, but I had to think. That new 30-something player world variant. |
09 Mar 11 UTC | Autumn, 1903: I would never play it. If it requires more then 25 sc to win, I wont play it, simply because I don't like entering alot of orders. |
09 Mar 11 UTC | Autumn, 1903: Haha, understandable. I've taken a liking to the 17-player variant after playing against an AI program. But 35 players is far too many. Some areas are definitely too geographically cluttered. |
09 Mar 11 UTC | Autumn, 1903: Oh dear. I am not moving fast enough. |
09 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 1904: I have figured that for the 2 player maps, its much easier to take as many sc as possible then fight the enemy head on. Given that switzerland seperates most of the players, its easy to find a semi stalemate line and use the rest of your force to grab 18 sc. |
09 Mar 11 UTC | Spring, 1904: As you can see, I've opted for a different approach. I tend to favor going right at the major stalemate lines, securing the important centers and using whatever surplus I have to pick up the remaining centers behind the lines. |
09 Mar 11 UTC | Autumn, 1904: I was expecting you to go for Rome/Naples |
10 Mar 11 UTC | Autumn, 1904: but nice move in Silesia. I didn't think of that. |
10 Mar 11 UTC | Autumn, 1904: I have to admit that I didn't plan as well as I wanted to for that one. Ah well. This turn will more or less decide the outcome here. |
