item #6
"These bridges can only be used by armies, while fleets are unaffected by them."
16 Jun 12 UTC Autumn, 1904: But that wasnt written on the variant rules here...
-.-
18 Jun 12 UTC Autumn, 1905: You won...but it is really unfair that the rule with bri-Mel isnt written in the Variant description!
:((
18 Jun 12 UTC Autumn, 1905: Well, it's written on the page linked ("Variant homepage"). If I could read it, you could as well.

However, it's not because of it that you've lost.
Even if you knew it, what would you have done? Not transform Bri so that you could support Mel? Well, you'd have lost Bri one turn later. Knowing that you'd have supported Mel, I'd have convoyed Obs>Byn replacing Obs with Sun. Then Obs cuts Mel while Buc+Byn take Bri.
You'd have lost a SC anyway. You could do nothing, here, it was 3 vs 2. The transform in Bri just made the loss 1 turn faster.

What really happened is this:
1) you got to Autumn 1904 with one unit less than me, so there was at least one previous big mistake by you.
2) As I just explained, around Mel you got 2 units, me 3. You left me in numeric superiority there. Second big mistake.
3) In autumn 1904 you insisted trying Lan>Nor supp by Sap, while Elc was covering Gur. What? Why didn't you take Nor from Sap? Sap is not a SC, so even if Nab takes it, no harm for you. You can retake Sap next turn, having 3 units on it. A SC lost only because you didn't see this simple thing. Sap was a place where YOU had a numeric superiority (3 vs 1) and you didn't use it to take Nor. Sap was not a SC. Nor was. One more big mistake.
Result: -3 units.

That's why you lost.
Claiming you've lost because the rules weren't clear makes you reassemble to a 15-years-old-bimbominkia. (no offense intended)
Be a man! Never complain and admit your mistakes!

People usually know why they won. So you saying you've lost because "I misordered" or "I didn't knew it" or "I got to the dentist and forgot to put my orders" or "the optician put 'the drops' in my eyes and I couldn't see anything for hours and deadline has passed" or "the dog bit my IPhone, destroying it" ecc... sound all like childish excuses you'd better never mention, even if they're true. And expecially if they have no relation with your defeat.

That's my advice for you, if you want it: "Never complain, be a man, be a fair winner, be a fair loser".

19 Jun 12 UTC Autumn, 1905: heyhey...i didnt say i lost because of that! :D
i lost because you played better...i just noticed in genral, that it should be written on the variant description...
:D
19 Jun 12 UTC Autumn, 1905: Uh.. Ok sorry. I totally misunderstood what you meant. My apologies! :)
(that it could be 1 more reason to not complain: people could misunderstand. Should it be written on the variant description? Well, tell it to the mods, why are you telling me? xD)
19 Jun 12 UTC Spring, 1906: because i wanted to talk with you...
:oP
19 Jun 12 UTC Autumn, 1906: Haha, ok, yes.
Well, a year ago Oli said he would have implemented all features (Neutral supporting each other and retreating...) of this Variant. But nothing. I rminded him a couple of times...but still nothing. I feel like is tired to hear me... why don't you try?
19 Jun 12 UTC Spring, 1907: ok :DD
19 Jun 12 UTC Well this should be the last turn.... Thanks for the game :)
