25 Jul 12 UTC Autumn, 1571: Shimazu sits lonely on his island playing by himself :)
25 Jul 12 UTC Autumn, 1571: Yeah, I see him... I'm hoping he pursues blue for the short term while I crush a chunk of orange
25 Jul 12 UTC Autumn, 1571: You know that wasn't a private chat, right?
25 Jul 12 UTC Autumn, 1571: uh... yeah, doh... I don't think I said anything too surprising but head slap...
31 Jul 12 UTC Spring, 1574: Anyone else know how many SC's are required to win? I thought I was close to winning till I looked at the variant page and realized I am not even half way there.
31 Jul 12 UTC Spring, 1574: That sucks, let's just draw!
31 Jul 12 UTC Spring, 1574: Haha, nice try, however there is a good chance that will end up happening. With the goal at 25 and there only being 37 supply centers. Soloing is very difficult.
01 Aug 12 UTC Spring, 1574: i'm still bravely waiting your sword reaching my chest as you had announced ...
01 Aug 12 UTC Spring, 1574: Don't be a douche, I was just goofing around trying to have some fun.
05 Aug 12 UTC Autumn, 1575: GameMaster: Oda voted for a Cancel. If everyone votes Cancel all points will be refunded and the game will be deleted from the database.
05 Aug 12 UTC Autumn, 1575: Whoops, that would have been bad.
05 Aug 12 UTC Spring, 1576: GameMaster: Shimazu voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has.
08 Aug 12 UTC Spring, 1577: BINGO!!!!!!!!
08 Aug 12 UTC Autumn, 1577: Congratulations Oda you win!! The game would have been funnier and balanced if Mori and Hojo had played better however any case good game.
08 Aug 12 UTC Autumn, 1577: vote DRAW!!!! :)
no? not gonna happen?
worth a shot :)
09 Aug 12 UTC Autumn, 1577: GameMaster: Uesugi voted for a Pause. If everyone votes Pause the game stop and wait till everybody votes Unpause. Please consider backing this.
09 Aug 12 UTC Autumn, 1577: hmm? Is that a generic message for pause toggle? Or is it a mistake?
I've voted to un-pause, whenever everyone is ready
10 Aug 12 UTC Spring, 1578: I disagree Hori and Hojo both played well. I guess since this game is over I can tell everyone the truth. I have been using this game as an experiment. I usually avoid lying and prefer tactics and deception with my moves rather than spitting out BS that sets up others moves so I can win without a fight. The point of my experiment was I wanted to prove that complete lying was the noob-tube or the easy way out, a method that doesn't take much skill to win. I found that it appears to be true.I have been completely false with everyone this game and my apologies. Especially to Takeda, normally after he helped me out so much I would of probably worked with hiim till the end and tried for a 3-way draw with him. However, I had a test to run and I stabbed him against my nature. My apologies to both Hojo and Takeda. If you see my name in other games, I will tell you 100% truth, it just may not be the whole truth. Again, my apologies, I feel terrible. I do not see how people can lie through there teeth like that. I will assume it is a ethics problem. I will allow everyone to survive and try and hurry up the solo. Don't worry Uesugi and Mori. I will attempt to keep you alive when the game is over.
10 Aug 12 UTC Spring, 1578: no problem with trying out different playing styles.
just don't know what it proves now ... n=1 is no base for scientific results :)
do you have other games running?
10 Aug 12 UTC Spring, 1578: @Oda: Not only it depends on your style of playing but also on the other players. I would recommend you to repeat your experiments some more times. In this case for instance, when I controled Osaka Bay, Kii Straits and SPO and Mori Ina and Bizen you could have had problems to hold agaist us. From my point of view, Mori mistook and that is the reason you get a solo. I bet with a more experienced Mori player on this game, you would not have won with that strategy.
Moreover, a more experienced Hojo would have realized that he couldn´t get a draw with an ally so powerful as you. You need to have similar number of sc,s aprox!! However he also let you win instead of attacking you.
To sum up, your strategy of lies succeed only because of newbie players.
In spite of that, I must congratulate you because you put it on scene very well !!
