12 Sep 12 UTC | Bidding: I would highly recommend that each of you read the variant rules pdf available at the "Greek Diplomacy" link near the top-left of your screen. Once our SC's are determined, there is a chart on the pdf that tells you what sort of unit starts on the SC, so be sure to consider that when you bid. Any questions, let us all know (but read the pdf first!). Rhodes has the best chance of winning so let's kill him or her first. good luck everyone! :D |
12 Sep 12 UTC | Bidding: Here is my predictions: Rhodes - Michael Stetner (b/c he hasn't put in moves, and that is classic Michael Stetner) Athens - Seth (because he is always super resourceful) The quote is classic Mike Smercina, but Mike doesn't usually point out rules for others. Macedonia -- me! because it is not anonymous, and you know what your name is, right? Sparta - Michelle, because she usually respondes to funny quotes with things like "thanks for the quote", etc. Also, she is using two-levels-deep logic by including herself in her own list -- but in the end she thinks it is Mike or Seth Well, that leaves figuring out who is Mike Smercina and Josh...between Byzantium and Persia. Byzantium - Josh, based on some conversation and a hunch. Persia -- I guess that leaves Mike Smercina, doesn't it? |
12 Sep 12 UTC | Bidding: Thanks for letting us know who you are, Mitch |
12 Sep 12 UTC | Bidding: Persia told me in absolute secrecy that he/she liked the legs and abs of the men of Sparta in the movie "300", would Mike Smercina say that? Wouldn't we expect that more out of Josh or Michelle? or is Mike two levels deep pretending to be Josh or Michelle? Or is Michael Stetner logging in to actually throw us off? Or maybe Seth really liked those juice abs and thighs. |
12 Sep 12 UTC | Bidding: Or maybe Macedonia is playing two levels deep and that isn't Mitch!!! |
12 Sep 12 UTC | Bidding: Well, I pegged Michelle correctly, that's for sure! |
12 Sep 12 UTC | Bidding: I thought this was going to be like clue. You keep what and who you know to yourself. |
12 Sep 12 UTC | Bidding: Only one person posted what (he thinks!!!!) he knows |

13 Sep 12 UTC | Spring, 1550 BC.: Athens - how does one laugh at oneself? That seems downright ostentatious |
13 Sep 12 UTC | Spring, 1550 BC.: Why am I not laughing? |
14 Sep 12 UTC | Autumn, 1550 BC.: WHY SO SERIOUS? |
