19 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 1: (muzhikas): So what do I do now?
19 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 1: (Mapu): You wait until we all join. Then we find out what countries we are.
19 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 1: (Mapu): Just refresh this page or the "Home" link every once in a while.
19 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 1: You're trying to scam the new guy out of 10 points?! Robbery!
19 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 1: So what do I do now?
19 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 1: Now you take a look at each of your pieces on the map (you're macedonia athens and sparta) you want to try to grab a few supply centers so that you can grow your army. fleets can move through water so sparta could start move to the aegean for instance if you want to. macedonia is adjacent to byzantium an easy supply center to pick up. it's a good idea to confer with your neighbors about where they'll be going to get an idea so you can avoid wasting moves.
21 Sep 12 UTC Autumn, 2: Now Greece -- this is where you want to use a "support hold" with macedonia supporting byzantinum to hold. Because purple can put two units against Byz, you risk losing it unless you can match the units by supporting it. But make sure you don't move a unit and then try to support it to hold -- the order will fail. So any unit that you support hold must either hold or support another unit to hold or move.
21 Sep 12 UTC Autumn, 2: Of course, if Greece follows your advice, they'll lose Miletus to the fleet in the Cicilian Sea, and they probably won't thank you for it . . .
21 Sep 12 UTC Autumn, 2: . . . and your move to Ilyria will be unblocked. This seems like better advice for you, than for Greece . . .
21 Sep 12 UTC Autumn, 2: I wasn't trying to connive in any way. Feel free to let him know about the moves and techniques yourself -- haven't seen much teaching coming from purple, just a single snide comment.
21 Sep 12 UTC Autumn, 2: (FYI to Greece -- this kind of talk and deceit is part of the game)
21 Sep 12 UTC Autumn, 2: Ok, done.
21 Sep 12 UTC Autumn, 2: Thanks guys for your help. I just need to get all the dynamics of the game down.

21 Sep 12 UTC Autumn, 2: Click the "Board" nav item to refresh the page instead of hitting refresh.
21 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 3: You have no orders to fill for this phase. ??
21 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 3: nvm
21 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 3: You didn't lose a unit last turn because you never really "owned" Byz.
21 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 3: and wtf was the epirus to neapolis move? did you suddenly find a missile?
21 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 3: Not all of the move options which you are given are realistic -- if it says "via convoy", it means you can only reach that point if a fleet between you and it is willing to carry you. In this case, that meant the Roman fleet, and it would only work if Rome's fleet issued an order to convoy your army into their territory of Neapolis -- unlikely, to say the least.
