Players Needed for Experimental Game
idealist and I need some more players for a Dark Press game. Basically, it's like Open Press, only there's no way to tell who says what. We're going to limit it to one message per player per season, and you can only directly address one country per message. If anyone's interested, let us know!

Question about drawing -> Mods
I know that a game can be drawn by the mods if for example a clear stalemate has been reached but 1 player refuses to vote draw. Can a game be forced to draw by the mods if the game was stalemated but the CD'd of a player caused it to break?
In this game: http://vdiplomacy.com/board.php?gameID=1023
if it were not due to england's CD, we would have drawn, but now, france might end up getting the win jsut becuase the CD... What are your opinion on this?

Lol Bin Laden
Guy attacked my hometown twice in 1993 and on 9/11 and killed friends of my father; not to mention the damage he did to the entire world. Thank goodness he's dead.

My Grandmother lied to me
All through my childhood whenever it was mentioned that John Paul II was the first non-Italian Pope in 500 years, my grandmother would chime in, "Of course, after Alexander VI, they were a more than a little gun shy." Alexander VI was Spanish and the father of Cesare Borgia and Lucrezia Borgia. I just learned that there was a Dutch Pope named Adrian VI like 5 popes later and he was the last non-Italian.

@JoGa, When I was in HS many moons ago, I played quizbowl and we were VERY good. At the national level, most people who did quizbowl were White or Asian males. Aiken HS was memorable because they fielded all-Black (and male) quizbowl teams and were formidable. Three of the four years that I was in HS, we were the only majority female team at Nationals. My senior year when we fielded a majority male team there was not a single majority female team at Nationals. My high school may have had even the top 5 performances of majority female teams in Nationals history at the time that I graduated from college. I'm sure that Aiken HS had a similar record for majority Black teams.

Plus my HS was a VERY "pagent"-y Southern HS and so our girls were quite different from the girls there from other places. My junior year, our captain was a runner-up for Miss Teen Texas, another girl was a working fashion model and a third was the captain of our cheerleaders, so we were a similarly memorable team demographically.

oh wow, thats really interesting. i have never heard of quizbowl though, is it something like academic team? if so our team while i was at school was very small and only white and asian males, ha. although Aiken High is still pretty much 50/50 white and black.

also i believe our academic team was very good during my years at AHS

@Ambassador: Fuck some whores, smoke your brains out! Return home with the worst case of amnesia.
Oh well, it's not what the locals do, but you wouldn't be the first tourist. Seriously though: depends on what you like. There are a few good museums, great parks (if the weather allows it). There is plenty of beautiful old buildings and places to see.
And of course: cafés, restaurants, coffeeshops, smartshops and the famous red-light district (fun to watch on a Saturday night). There is plenty of night-life going on too, if that's your thing.

What are your interests and how long are you staying? @Guaroz: what did you do in amsterdam... :)
krabby (1185 D)

I live in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.

If you get the chance though, Ambassador, go visit some of the other cities. Leiden and Utrecht are both cool, for example. It does depend on your interests though. If you are a van Gogh fan, the windmill that he painted is in Nuenen, in the South.
