17 Jul 21 UTC Spring, 1905: GameMaster: Someone has taken over Turkey replacing "tillersch". Reconsider your alliances.
08 Sep 21 UTC Spring, 1910: GameMaster: Turkey voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has.
06 Nov 21 UTC Well played, Russia... unfortunate that it ended this way, I felt we would have been successful until Spring 1912...
06 Nov 21 UTC GG everyone. Yeah that turn was unfortunate for you guys. I think even if Britain hadn't missed that turn, there was still maybe a chance for me to win. It was impossible for you guys to communicate properly to hold me in central Asia and too many fleets unable to support inland units.
06 Nov 21 UTC Congratulations Russia! Well played.

Yes, I can't tell you all how sorry I am for that missed turn. I think it came whilst I was visiting family in the UK. I've had a couple of games running simultaneously on the Backstabbr app, and I thought I could handle the three of them but because there are no email reminders and updates on this platform... I missed the turn. Sorry, Turkey and Holland. I think we very possibly could have forced the draw if I hadn't lost Constantinople, but once I had, we needed a big mistake from Russia to recover, which was extremely unlikely.

Does anyone here play on Backstabbr also?
07 Nov 21 UTC Just a game. Dont worry about that.
07 Nov 21 UTC No worries, it happens! You did well to thwart me throughout the game, outplaying me in 1905 and 1908 to steal Baghdad and Constantinople, preventing me from pressing my slight advantage. I knew I’d have to turn my attention to Russia eventually but hoped I could finish you off beforehand... no such luck.

Because our battle was so heated, we couldn’t waste any turns trying to make peace with each other, either, though I’m sure we both saw the danger Russia would eventually pose.

Thanks everyone for a fun game!
