24 Jul 23 UTC Autumn, 951: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
25 Jul 23 UTC Spring, 952: Hello guys, I'm currently on a bike tour for 3 days, would be happy if we could pause or extend. Thank you.
25 Jul 23 UTC Spring, 952: GameMaster: Sverige voted for a Pause. If everyone votes Pause the game stop and wait till everybody votes Unpause. Please consider backing this.
25 Jul 23 UTC Spring, 952: GameMaster: Sverige voted for a Extend. If 2/3 of the active players vote Extend the the current phase will be extend by 4 days. Please consider backing this. If the majority is not reached by "Spring, 953" the votes will be cleared.
26 Jul 23 UTC Spring, 952: Y'all gonna extend or what?
26 Jul 23 UTC Spring, 952: Done
27 Jul 23 UTC Spring, 952: Sure, enjoy biking!
30 Jul 23 UTC Spring, 953: GameMaster: Extend-request didn't reach 2/3 majority. All extend-votes cleared.
03 Aug 23 UTC Autumn, 953: Lol, Slavic Nations lied and backstabbed me in 01 and now is so salty about a deal having fallen through that they actually muted me XD
03 Aug 23 UTC Autumn, 953: Amazing. Also good work, Sverige is the weakest nation here by a bit and Slavic Nations is the strongest by a lot, nice to see it get turned around like that
03 Aug 23 UTC Autumn, 953: Thank you!

The Byzantines leaving also didn't help T.T
04 Aug 23 UTC Spring, 954: Oh yeah helps to read those statistics
04 Aug 23 UTC Spring, 954: Completely forgot about the statistics. Just looked at them and I'm actually pretty surprised how well the Byzantines seem to be performing when they are bordering the apparently strongest faction and another very potent faction (Arabs), who don't seem to have as good stats as I would have thought.
05 Aug 23 UTC Spring, 954: They don't have to face the brunt of Slavic Nation's forces, and can just focus on everything at Arab Caliphate, and if they get Burgundy to go south (and making it impossible for Arab Caliphate to keep up an attack) then they are pretty set for a strong game.
07 Aug 23 UTC Autumn, 954: Yeah I see your point.

I have to say though, I think this map is fantastically unique in that the starting position is so screwed, that you're almost forced to abandon certain regions initially to be successful in another. At least that's the feeling I'm getting.
07 Aug 23 UTC Autumn, 954: Thé challenge the Caliphates faces in the beginning is indeed the « man spreading » but fortunately nobody in the back !
07 Aug 23 UTC Autumn, 954: Yeah, having an entire southern border right from the start is def. great!

My strat from the beginning was to secure the upper right corner for this reason, but it took me ages to get there.
15 Aug 23 UTC Congrats Burgundy
15 Aug 23 UTC GG! Would've been a bit fun to try and stop at 25 and then see how big of a turn I could get next turn for maximum points, but oh well, wasn't expecting the Napoli move to go through. I was really worried about my plan the second year since because France hadn't supported me into Rouen first year I couldn't get enough builds to properly defend everything, and thought that France may turn it around on me despite the stab, but it pulled through. And then after that it was mostly about cleaning up France and determining when I needed to stab the Caliphate in order to catch them off guard to take the necessary centers from them when I still had to build armies to deal with the north, while not waiting too long for them to build up defenses in the west. Thank you for believing those little lies about definitely not stabbing you that last year Caliphate.
15 Aug 23 UTC Also, it's amusing that Egypt/Jerusalem remains neutral, the Caliphate was honestly real close to a solo, perhaps if they got the two centers there earlier or had stabbed me before I stabbed them they could've pushed themselves to 26
