Its the final, so it will be the final game of the tourney, but still, its the second longest diplomacy game I've ever seen, lol

Fasces, any idea what some of the longest vdip games have been? I would be really curious to see!

Go fucking go germany!!!! Favorite country to play by far. and whoever that germany may be is truly a diplomatic master.

Its funny, at one point in time all players currently alive lost 2 of their home centers at one point and all have been on the verge of defeat, its quite an exciting game.

It's actually the main reason why I love public press so much. The amount of diplomacy needed is insane, because you have to attempt to crack what everyone else is trying to say. I miss me a good public press match.

I like public press on smaller maps, but on the larger maps it gets a little too tedious after a while

bump! So just curious, what is the situation for after the last IotGL ends? I seem to have forgotten how it progresses after round 1!

The last IotGL has finished with a solo for Europe.

Took you guys long enough :P We can finally move on! Though I do have a question, what should I do if both my team member have not been present on the site for a long, long time? Should I seek out replacement players?

Here is the previous googledoc with the standings and who should be moving on. We should probably start contacting players that are moving on the make them aware this thing is still going on!

Captainmeme, I would love to have you join my team :D (Midwest A). If my teammate do show, I would obviously want to play with them, however looking at their profiles, one hasnt visited for a week and the other hasnt been here since September 11th... xD

So, since Europe is now on 12 and (IIRC) it's the 3 group winners and 2 highest 2nd places who proceed, the teams who will go through are:

Midwest A (15 )
Pacific (14 )
South (13 )
Midwest B (13 )
Europe (12 )

Ok, Captainmeme is correct that those are the 5 teams that have progressed to the finals.

I don't have time now, but sometime this weekend I will look into how many of the 15 finalists are still on this site, and then we will begin recruiting.

Hopefully will get the finals started by November.

Sounds like a great plan! I know I haven't heard from my two teammates for a while, but I will keep trying to contact them.

@lakersfan we don't have a list of subs, everyone who wanted to sign up was places on a team, however iirc one person asked to join shortly after the tourney started, so i'd guess he would be our only person on the sub list
