First ever game of Chaoctoboat!
gameID=2551
Totally random! It's 5 credits each, a bit like a scratch and win ticket honestly, but I'm willing to give it a try unlike real lotto draws :D Let's see if we can get one going, just to say we did!

fighting
First off I do not want to offend anyone, please don't take this the wrong way. Why the fighting and name calling? Not everyone has the same style of play...that does not make them bad people. This site is supposed to be fun. Oli and others work hard to create variants and keep this site going, so for his sake, lets heed the last words that show up whenever he posts a new variant...HAVE FUN!

Thanks.

Game mechanics question
Can a fleet move from Portugal to Spain (sc), while at the same time another fleet moves from Spain (sc) to Portugal?
And, more important as there is an ongoing game, how does it work on this site?

Race for the Tape
In contrast to Austria and Italy, Russia and Turkey often make a strong alliance against the rest of the board, called a Juggernaut. But what happens when there's no one else to ally against?

Antagonism: Classic VS!
Italy and Austria often go to war in the Classic map, and get pounced on by happy neighbours.
So what if we removed the pesky neighbours?

There is a really nasty bug in the ClassicVS variant
You might not be able to view your home-screen if you play 2 or more ClassicVS games. I'll try to fix this, but it can take some time.
You shouldn't joint too much games, and I might have to draw ClassicVS games as they make problems without announcing (did so on 2 games already)

Ankara Crescent
Since spam and creative forum posts are so popular on this site, I think that we should play Ankara Crescent. You cannot post twice in a row. I will start by moving from Berlin to Vienna by helicopter.

Argh, your retreat forced the surrender (disband) of the French troops I had in garrison there.
Sorry LoveDove. Didn't mean that. How about you rebuild in Washington DC and I support you into Panama the following turn?
LoveDove (1368 D)
04 Jun 11 UTC
No can do. Kaner's unit in NYC prevents my build. I only have French units available right now and if I build one so close to another occupied SC, they'll just surrender. Gotta get my hands on a flux capacitor somehow....
Kaner, try invoking Article III of the Hill Valley Conference's landmark decision from 1955. That and a van full of Libyan terrorists should stop his efforts to acquire the flux capacitor.
kaner406 (2067 D Mod (B))
04 Jun 11 UTC
Aha! I'd forgotten all about that agreement, it's hard to believe that anything was actually agreed upon. I shall invoke Article III of the Hill Valley Conference, thus forestalling LoveDove's building of a flux capacitor. I shall also move forthwith to Marseilles with a regiment of armed Cossack cavalry, to prevent the possibility of a French uprising.
Excellent. I will outflank him by landing an amphibious assault on Gascony from my secretly hidden unit down the dark tin mines of Cornwall.
Shep315 (1435 D)

Blast, France has been overrun, I shall be forced to relocate to British Columbia via escape pod!
gman314 (1016 D)
04 Jun 11 UTC
Unfortunately, Kaner's Libyan terrorists are held up in a civil war and without them, I don't think you'll have enough power to stop LoveDove from acquiring a flux capacitor.
Meanwhile, I will also employ the Bismark rulings of 1956 (Section IV paragraph xxiii) to move from the caucasus, through the Caspian Sea to the Black sea by the Volga Canal. I will also move by time machine from Byzantium to Istanbul.
LoveDove (1368 D)
04 Jun 11 UTC
Great Scott! Despite Biffco's failed efforts of interference, I secured the flux capacitor. I am now able to send my steam-powered locomotive to Seattle.
Damn! Ok this is getting serious. Time to pull out the big guns. I move my trireme from Hawaii into NW Pacific Ocean.

TBroadley (1202 D)

I finally have a chance to use my token... I drop it, crushing Fauxlosophe's vodka-fuelled revolution, and occupy Gdansk, putting Arctic Circle shipping in a stranglehold.

My Red Alaskans will support an attack by Irate Polar Bears on the Yukon populace, while explaining the rules of Ankara to Roxart. I shall trade in the two earned scout badges for a Dr. Dolittle Token.
LoveDove (1368 D)

Berlin is a divided city, so you can't receive tokens for moves associated with the city.

Fauxlosophe (1191 D)

Since the global circumnavigation was completed in less than 80 days, then by the Verne Amendment of 1921 the owner of London, Pimlico, is granted the sum of 80,000 pounds.

oh but LoveDove you forget that we are using the newest Berlin revision from 2004... it states that each section of Berlin is available for token taking

I move Star Fleets into Berlin, Moscow, Paris, London, Rome, Vienna, Istanbul, Washington and Cairo via hyperspace from my Death Star
Fauxlosophe (1191 D)

Unfortunately, you'll find that move was bounced due to the cherry bomb that I dropped into your Air vents.

I invade Mexico with my nuclear submarines from their Cuban bases, allowing me to dominate the moon
LoveDove (1368 D)
06 Jun 11 UTC
Wretched 2004 revision. myrmidon gets two tokens then... Thankfully, that same revision also severs the connection between Mexico and the moon, so Shep doesn't dominate it yet.
Oh dear my head hurts in trying to decide what to do next. But under the circumstances I'll use section 7 of the Helsinki Placeholder Agreements (1961) to trade in my amphibious paratroopers and combine with my Trireme to an upgrade aircraft carrier that moves into the Persian Gulf. Ha, beat that!

given my current position, I shall order the army in cape Town to bake cookies and ship them to Brazil, the delicious treats forcing Sao Paolo into submission
I'm going to call on my underground auxiliaries on the Piccadilly Line to support my attack from Central Line on Holborn.
