Reliability Rating Issue
So this has probably been addressed many times, and will get yelled at since I am new and maybe did not read something. But I looked into it and am still confused. I have only played one game and have a RR of -100 rookie. However even when I or a friend makes a game with no request for a certain RR It says my RR is too low. How can i get it higher if i cannot join a game?

I won't say F*CK OFF: gameID=8881
A few hours before the end there was only my draw vote in (Slavic) and Norge's. I didn't expect this morning to wake up and find a 5 way draw. Not with this SCs difference.
Il Principe, Guaroz, couldn't we go for the natural outcome: 3 way draw?
Your thoughts will be appreciated.

When there is a game full of CDs and a four way draw is negotiated and agreed to, what are we to think of a player who then rushes for a tactical advantage to chase the solo as others are making no effort to block him?

Yes, luck plays a major role in this kind of game, but luck hits randomly, doesn't it?
among the 2 classic-chaos, no press, played on this site:
1 solo by bozo.
1 2way draw including bozo.
Either luck has some preferences, or I feel like I have to congratulate bozo.
RUFFHAUS 8 (2490 D)
30 Jul 12 UTC
That's rich, Decima Legio. Bozo definitely deserves congraulations, but he also had the good fortune not to be drawn next to someone like you. He was smart and skilled enough to see the nittwittery going on in Rome this game, and swooped in to seal his win. How many turns did you waste doing nothing in this game? Were you even thinking or just turning in moves specifically to be a chowderhead?

@Ruffhaus
That’s must be a friendship declaration…

If you turn your eyes on the other areas of the map you can recognize tens of misunderstandings, supports unmatched, stupid moves and so on. I just decided to trust Venice after fall 1903. I didn’t want to go for him with 2 armies just to let you (Naples) screw my back.

I do not find difficulties to state “yes, basically I did nothing interesting in this game” cause I couldn’t get more than 2SCs… but, wait, did you do something more?

Noone prevailed in Britain, nor in the Ruhr area, nor in Italy during the early game. Only a big mass of buffer states fighting and misunderstanding each other. That was the ground that let Spain grow undisputed.
Did you expect 10 micro-powers in a gunboat to stalemate a great western power?

I just don’t understand this criticism. It’s a *chaos* + *no press* + *anon* game, which altogether means: it’s a fucking guessing game. And, above all, it’s a game.
RUFFHAUS 8 (2490 D)
31 Jul 12 UTC
No, it did nothing more, because after spending the first three years jerking around with Tunis bouncing ev move I tried to make, something that's typical of a chaos game, I was not able to get a second unit. But once Tunis was defeated (by you - in my home center), you decided to attack me, which opened the door for Spain to sial into the Mediterranean Sea unopposed. He didn't take advantage immediately, but when he did, you were too preoccupied to notice. Greece noticed (or Smyrna or whomever it was that that was in Greece). But not you. You had the opportunity to do something and did not. It's not a guessing game when a player reacher 6-8 centers and everyone else is one 1-2. It's not a guessing game when he's sending three fleets at both of us. Then it's wake up and smell the coffee time. But you kept right on playing like it was S'01.

"It's game" Is that your cookie cutter excuse to explain away nitwittery? I understand it's a game. Did I file a legal motion again you? I'm not losing sleep over it. I just find it amusing that one of the chief enablers of the solo is front and center to comment on the game, jokes as to whether or not luck had anything to do with it. Bozo graciously implied that it did, and you backhandedly compliment him, while ignoring that your nation paved the way in the south. Even when it was obvious that Spain was making his move, you were playing patty-cakes. Yes, it's a game, and one that you played very poorly.

The fact that its gunboat is never an excuse for poor playing. I know some great gunboat players who can set up stalemate lines in an instance.
P.S. - I didn't bother taking a look at the game, just read the thread
Jimbozig (1179 D)
31 Jul 12 UTC
I like to think I can set up stalemates in an instant. When you have only two armies trapped in Greece and Serbia you feel pretty helpless though.

bozo won because he found some space and then never looked back.

Dear Ruffhaus,
I’m not losing sleep over it too, I just consider your analysis of the game so factious that I can’t stand to reply.

So, given that we’re talking about a finished game (which everyone can check) and not about opinions let’s re-try to have a look of what’s happened. That’s my EoG post, focusing around me, Rome. When I say “you” I’m referring to my primary interlocutor and accuser of incompetence , Ruffhaus, aka Naples.

-1901 to 1903:
That’s actually chaos. Someone can manage to get extra SCs. Rome can thanks to Naples/Tunis non-bounce. Spain can, thanks to Marseilles’ suicidal move in fall’03. It’s amazing that you have completely neglected this particular. Spain got his most important gain in a chaos game (IMO the second SC) because of Marseilles. Probably you shouldn’t be here mocking me gratuitously without Marseille’s fall’03 move.

-1903 winter builds:
If you haven’t noticed, Venice spent his last 2 years trying to communicate that he wanted to cooperate with me. I decided to trust him and I built a fleet. I was pretty sure, in the instance that I built the second army, that Naples should’ve gone for his home center. Do you want to convince me that you should’ve gone for Spain or Greece? At that moment Spain was far from being a threat.

-1904
Spain killed Portugal and got the south-western corner 3SCs, putting a good base for a solo. Considering the neighborhood, a better position than Budapest’s (currently the other 3 SC power).

-1905 spring
You are claiming that you saw the solo way beforehand… interesting. Inviting my fleet in Naples to move in Apulia in spring must have been a clear signal of your intention to stop the possible solo coming from the west, sorry if I didn’t get it :-) Ruffhaus, please, do not abuse my resistance to remain polite.

-1905 fall
Another invitation from your side to work together and build a water defensive line. I didn’t understand this one too… Yes, I must definitely be a chowderhead.

-1906
My fault with ION. This time I’m serious. My apologies to the Bulgarian fleet in Greece if he wanted to stay in the Ionian and hold the non-existing but likely to come aggression from the west. Now that the game is over I’d like Jimbozig to confirm if that was his intention in spring’06.

-1907
The ONLY way to make a *temporary* stand in the western part of the Mediterranean should’ve been with your fleet sitting in Tunis, and mine in Tyrrenian sea. I assume you were aware of this, cause you’re clearly not an idiot. You moved in Tunis only when you were forced to: 1 year later. Time over. Have a look to my fall’07 move. I wonder which way you wanted to reach the western Mediterranean, instead.

-1908 to the end.
Too late for the fleet in Smyrna to come. The Bulgarian fleet was disbanded 2 years beforehand. The situation is hopeless in the Mediterranean and in all the other fronts.

Honestly I can’t notice 1 single couple of nations trying to build something similar to a defensive line. Despite the WTA setting, some factions attacked each other until the very last year, and someone else simply gave up and stopped entering orders.

Yours sincerely
Decima Legio, one of the Ruffhaus-appointed cheaf enablers of Spain’s solo.

It does not look like the game will fill. Too bad.

And Ruffhaus might be a bit rough on the edges, but he has a good heart. (And I think he has a few good points inside his ranting).

And Bozo: well played!
I came only in as a replacement and waited at the roulette table for my number, but it never came. :-)
