You guys realize this is practically guaranteed to end in a draw right? 5v5 is a recipe for a huge draw. I know things similar to this have been played before and they ended in huge draws.

...then it'd be a stalemate that would literally never end. Its just not flexible enough as a 5v5 especially if you pick the best players.

If you spread both sides across the map so they weren't clustered in groups...

And just cause it's the to 5 of each site doesn't mean it's a team game.

"Civil War" implies 2 teams. And if its not a team game, then its really not at all worthy of its own thread if its just a normal game.

As for spreading players out, that still presents problems. Namely sea stalemates. Who do you pair england with? Not Spain or theyd own the left half of the oceans virtually instantaneously. France then so that there's no teammates adjacent to each other? Then you have Germany and Spain teamed. So then does Poland or Italy go with the E/F team? Either way you'll end up with teammates adjacent in the Russia/Ukraine/Poland area. What's going to happen is teams will find a way to own corners and become near invincible, even if some of the rest of their team dies in the process. Whoever is allied with England in the west is a prime example of that.
