I`m not sure if i should stab my allis or not, til now i always tried to don`t stab. But I`m not sure if i should stab sometimes... What do you think about that ?
Just make sure it's not a stupid game move, one that will cause you to let someone else win(like attacking Turkey relentlessly even when he tried to offer peace to you in a gunboat by letting you into Black Sea AND France is getting really strong and Turkey is the smallest power in the game with a stalemate set up against you as Russia) and you should be ok. If it puts you in a better position to win, and won't convince everyone in the game to come after you, go for it...
There are many articles about stabbing. All make a valid point (sometimes two points). Mencken's Conjecture states "Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats". As I have grown as a player, there are now many games where I value an alliance over the chance of victory. However, if given the chance to get to 16 centers and 2 easy centers are a simple stab away, it is sometimes difficult to resist. Temptation is very difficult to resist. Depends on my mood and how the day has gone so far. Look at the stats of the better players. They win sometimes, draw most of the time and they survive. Losing is not an option. Thanks. @butterhad: you cant imagine how frustrated i am still. It was VERY bad luck. I hope we will play another game where i play without missing phases :((
missing phases wha? we talking about the same game? the only phase you missed was like, the very last one... the game I am talking about was a specific 4 person Gunboat in which you attacked me from turn 3 and I successfully held you off and France took the win.

yes I mean that game. haha. and too be honest, I never intended to fight you. I wanted to form an alliance with you, and I only bounced you in Black Sea in 01 Spring as precaution, I was hoping that by letting you in in Fall you'd have realized I wanted an alliance.
After the server change, two of the powers in that game have yet to come back. I've sent an email to the admin account, but the phases are only a day, and I fear that by email I may not get the pause in that time. Can an admin please pause the game? It would be a shame if anyone nmred in the first year.
In my many games, with Chromium web browsers, the orders for my units don't show up. It just says: "Loading order..." an equal number of times as the number of units i own, but the orders won't ever load (I have tried for longer than 15min). When i use firefox web browser, orders load almost instantaneously, as always have been.
We need to move to a different server. The IP is blocked by many ISP and email-services, because of a malfunction on another website (it's a shared hosting service, so there are many websites on this IP). I don't know when it will happen, but it might take some days till everybody can access the site. I'll give a small update on the main webdiplomacy site.

With my time as President of the New Russia over, I'm now playing green in every one of my games. I wonder which power I will be if 56 pointer (gameID=3220) makes.....Indonesia, Manchuria, India(?), Central Asia, South Africa, Catholica, Mexico, USA, Quebec or Canada? That's right, I've tricked you into reading an ad from one of my games.
I've been home to visit my mother. She's dying. She has cancer. I requested pauses in all my games but didn't approach mods because I expect people are civilised enough to grant such pauses. I came back to find that in one game where I was doing excellently, I'd gone into civil disoreder and been taken over, even though I was only away three days. That's much more annoying than all the games where I found myself backstabbed in civil disorder. A curse on all you metagamers.
Hello All, just in the midst of a game where a fleet in Israel supported a fleet from Sinai into Jordan; should this be possible? Just wondering, never played this variant before, and never been in Israel, so I can't be sure if there's some sort of "waterway" from Israel to Jordan that would allow it to support such a move...
I've been listening to Double Fantasy today and I suddenly got the impulse to declare publicly that I can't stand Yoko Ono. It is not without shame, I have the utmost respect for John. Does anyone else suffer from this conflict?
