New Variant Idea

I was thinking of a Cold War variant, but it would not just be a variant of Diplomacy, but in order for it to work, the Cold War itself would have to be changed. To start, it would have to be in just Europe, to keep a bit of simplicity. Also, the Soviet Union and the US would be too scared to start a nuclear war, despite the war becoming "hot." (More to come in next post)

Fog of War- Whos finalized

Whats the point in showing who has finalized and who hasn't in FoW, we find out who missed phases at the end of phases and its more of a pain then an asset when trying to find out who is slowing down the bloody game.

we have actually done this before on south american supremacy, 7 islands, 1880, and colonial. the colonial, south american supremacy, and 7 islands all ended in stalemate and the 1880 game had a winner

What about declarations during retreat phases.

I dont know, the problem may arise that only 1 or 2 people have to retreat, then you declare, finalize, and immediately attack before the enemy has had a chance to move like in the other way

I'd prefer it be one ORDER turn ahead of time, Spring or Autumn when all units of each nation are able to be directed
