@Eden if you could break a treaty anytime you want there wouldnt be a point in playing the variant plus like Sacred said in real life there is some warning case in point WW 2, Stalin simply refused to acknowledge the fact that Germany would attack and the Americans figured the Japanese would try something, they just thought that they didn't have the capability or the guts to make a direct attack on Hawaii
@Gobbledydook, you could try to get that kind of treaty I guess but most people probably wouldnt agree to that, now some of us were thinking of allowing each player one sneak attack per game to prevent stalemates, but we would have to keep track of them very closely to insure someone doesnt try to pull multiples
One action card is dealt to players at the start. They may use it at the beginning of any turn, and they will pm the Game Master who will coordinate the gameplay to conform to the rules set out on the cards.
I've started my first game of webDiplomacy, and in the chat window, all the text is in black, where usually the text is coloured in relation to the country. Is there a settings tweak that I need to make?
I'm trying to start a game with a 20 point buy in, and I'm sure I'm entering it properly, but when I go to the game page, it says the buy in is 1. I've nuked and recreated 3 times now and it's the same every time. I guess I don't really mind playing for one point, but I think I might have trouble attracting an opponent for one point...
I've never heard or seen an African variant. But there seems to be one for every other land area (Americas north, central, south, Asia, Australia, and of course the original Europe). Is this because the geography isn't so interesting (having a simple coastline, tho you could have impassable areas like the Sahara Desert), or just no one cares? :\

In a decent position, but not great. Have a strong ally but a couple strong enemies too. However, a new person might be able to change the diplomatic situation since I believe the wars were as much personal at this point as tactical.
I started a game. when I click my home hub, I can see it with me waiting for other players, but when I search for it in new games and open games, it's nowhere to be found. What gives?

Souldn't Thrace have 2 coasts (east and west) in Greek Diplomacy? http://vdiplomacy.com/variants.php#GreekDip Illium is a canal, similar to constantinople, but Thrace, equaling Bulgaria in classic, should have 2 coasts, shouldn't it?
