@Rox, err, no. I was talking with fasces about the 3-way tiebreak for 3rd & 4th place in Group A, which involves Gobble, canaduh & Hellenic.
A-B play 2 games (say I-G & G-I)
B-C play 2 games (say A-F & F-A)
A-C play 2 games (say F-J & J-F)
After these 6 games we'll see the standings. If there will be still a tie, the tiers play a Duo game to break it. So if
A-B 2-2
B-C 1-3
A-C 1-3
The standings will be C=6 A=3 B=3. Then C (3a) plays quarterfinals with langaidin (2b), and A-B play a tiebraking Duo whose winner (4a) plays quarterfinals with Devonian (1b). The loser is eliminated. That's how I understood.
BTW, we can't be meeting before the Final because fasces said:
The top 4 in each group go on to the playoffs. which will have this format:
Series 1: 1a v 4b
Series 2: 2a v 3b
Series 3: 3a v 2b
Series 4: 4a v 1b
Winner of 1 and 3 play each other
Winner of 2 and 4 play each other
Winner of the semi finals goes onto the finals
So since I'm 1a and you're 2a, if we win both win Quarters and Semis we'll meet again in Final. If this will happen, then yes, there is no need for game 6, 7, 8, and 9 because I'll win first 5 games. :P
