Anywhere to download Classic map files?
I've looked around a bit and I can't find anywhere where I can download the original diplomacy map files and borders for creating a variant based off the classic map. I'm thinking of creating a variant and if I could get these it would save a ton of work.

Occupy Wall Street/Indignatoes
What issues do you believe that these people believe that they are protesting?

What specific solutions to specific problems do you believe that they believe that they are advocating?

Yes, God forbid that someone should embrace such a position, because we all know that anything remotely resembling criticism of Israeli policy is just veiled anti-semitism. You're entitled to opinion gopher27, but I'd appreciate it if you would find something better to do than belittle mine...

Well, um, you certainly do agree, Adam, that the Holocaust was a bad thing...?

Don't answer that AdamNTM, they are very deliberately goading you from the topic of the thread.

Which is supposed to be about people protesting in Wall Street.
gopher27 (1606 D Mod)
06 Oct 11 UTC
AdamNTM, you've basically said that Hitler's actions were a rational response to a Zionist Conspiracy and pretty much endorsed the Holocaust. If you have an interpretation of what you've said that is not the textbook definition of anti-semitism, I think all of us would be educated by it.
AdamNTM (965 D)
06 Oct 11 UTC
@LoveDove: Of course I do!! Killing anyone for any other reason except self-defense is wrong, imo. But that doesn't change the fact that it happened, and I believe that it happened for the reason(s) I've mentioned above. Remember, the victors get to write history, so of course any motivations for Hitler's campaign against the Jews (or perhaps, more accurately, the Zionists) would be modified so as to be able to hide the movement again; with Hitler's defeat, the plans for the NWO could be buried safely again.

Consider this quote, given by President Woodrow Wilson, AFTER he helped implement the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, punctuated by a sense of regret;

"Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men's views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the Field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organised, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it." Woodrow Wilson, The New Freedom (1913)

And thus we come back to our original point; the Federal Reserve does NOT serve the interests of the American people, and thus must be dismantled...

AdamNTM (965 D)
06 Oct 11 UTC
@gopher27: Thanks for putting words in my mouth, but no thanks, that's not what I said. Hitler's response may have been CALCULATED, but hardly rational. Remind me never to vote you into a position of power, if you think such a reaction is somehow "rational"...

"A great industrial nation is controlled by it's system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments in the world--no longer a government of free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of small groups of dominant men." --President Woodrow Wilson

Woodrow Wilson knew it back in 1913; what's stopping you from understanding it now gopher27?
Raro (1449 D)

I wonder how many free-thinking American citizens were bound and gagged in Wilson's closet while he was making that speech.
gopher27 (1606 D Mod)

Woodrow Wilson was talking about the Money Trust of the Pujo Committee and trying to get elected. He also had quite nice things to say about the Klan in the interests of getting elected. Colonel House who got Wilson elected and pretty much ran his administration is from my hometown and has been a historical interest of mine since childhood. On Woodrow Wilson's life, family, writings and politics, you will be utterly outmatched against me. This is quite literally one of those subjects upon which I am a genuine expert. If you honestly think that the Morgan System still exists, then there is little to say. However, the largest buyer of securities today is the State of California and not the Equitable Life Insurance Corporation. That is what he was talking about, the interlocking boards of three insurance companies that were the domestic end buyers of most newly issued bonds in the US in 1910. Specifically, he was talking about the transfer of ownership of Equitable Life from Thomas Fortune Ryan to the Morgan Interests. And again to repeat my point from earlier, Wilson and Glass designed the Fed precisely to counter that system. If you have a real interest in this kind of stuff, the de-mutualization of the big insurance companies makes Morgan style control much more difficult as shareholders pay more attention than policyholders. Today PIMCO, Calpers and the Yale Endowment are more important to the credit system than even the biggest insurance companies. The Money Market Funds are even more important still. American MMFs determine every day whether the biggest multinational banks will go bankrupt.

The Orthodox Jews of Poland and Lithuania were in point of fact explicit rejecters of Zionism. There are library shelves full of book that detail how Hitlers extermination of the Orthodox Jews of the former Pale actually opened the way for Western Jews and the quite small number of Zionists in Palestine to advance Zionism as a formal ideology. The Rabbis of Mitteleuropa considered Hertzl's ideology to be blasphemous. The return to Zion was meant to be a divine event and not the work of men. The Jews that Hitler butchered were not Zionists and one can only assume were not, therefore, conspiratorial Zionists.
AdamNTM (965 D)
07 Oct 11 UTC
That's the problem with conspirators, they tend to hide, meaning, if you can't be sure, just take 'em all out... as for your expertise in finance, I fear your missing the forest for the trees. The Federal Reserve needs to be revamped, pure and simple; thus the protests...

If for the point of argument Hitler was facing a Yahudin Conspiracy in Western Europe, butchering Yidn in the Pale fits into this how exactly? The whole reason that NYC seem to have two Jewish institituions for every conceivable purpose is because the Yahudim and the Yidn would have nothing to do with one another. In the 1980s, when Daniel Levine (the real Bud Fox from Wall Street) was caught for insider trading, he blamed antisemitism for driving him to try to game the system. When it was pointed out to him that he had spent his entire career working at Jewish firms for Jewish bosses, he retorted that they were all Yahudim and no one hated Yidn Jews as much as Yahudim.

What really scares me is Not that there is a conspiracy but rather that we have 7 billion people on this planet looking after themselves without comprehensive understanding of what truly is at stake.
If you factor in climate change - which is occurring.
and you consider the depletion of easy to reach resources...
then the future seems bleak.

When I say future, I am not necessarily meaning OUR future, but that of the viability of humanity existing/living on this planet.

Humans recognise patterns intuitively. We recognise shapes in the clouds or in our hearths, and it is only natural that we seek to organise patterns in the events that we are caught up in today. However we must also recognise that many/much of these events that effect us today have their roots upon a multitude of individual decisions, and that it is indeed possible (plausible) that there is actually no conspiracy at all (in the sense that there is an all powerful agenda).

It truly frightens me that we may have passed the carrying capacity of this world, and combined with resource depletion, we may never escape to other planets.

Human caused ecological/climate change is real, and I really think that if we argue ideology whilst the proverbial titanic is sinking, then all we can do is trust to the fates.

As to what that mob in Wall Street are on about... all it seems to me is that it is simply an indication that the current system is flawed. Maybe they think they are arguing against a hidden agenda, maybe they are simply expressing their dissatisfaction at the system as it stands, who knows? I don't.
gopher27 (1606 D Mod)

Whatever.....Don't worry, kaner, the inability of the first world to produce a sustainable number of children will lead to the collapse of First World Civilization long before we get to Ecological collapse, then the Third World will be without cars and electricity and antibiotics within a generation or two.
AdamNTM (965 D)
07 Oct 11 UTC
I agree kaner, I had secretly hoped that the ecological disaster / potential extinction-level event would be enough to galvanize the world populace into one force (allies of necessity, as it were), but the establishment has created enough (un)reasonable doubt about climate change that everyone's still scrambling about the financial system. With peak oil we are already beyond carrying capacity, as China, India, and Brazil strive to become "1st-world" countries (!!). But fixing the problem is impossible as long as the plutarchs, the ones with all the financial power, choose to ignore the issue. Or... are they ignoring the issue, or possibly (running with your analogy of the Titanic), are they aware of the iceberg, have consigned themselves to running into it head-on, and waiting to jump ship with their rowboats and life-preservers well in hand? Time will tell; either way, the system has to be revamped before the people can be mobilized en masse to address the real issues...

Thanks for the article gopher27. Despite those doomed prophecies for our children, I still believe there will be a QE3, probably early 2012, it's the last band-aid in the kit and I'm willing to bet it's certain to be used (also because it fits the agenda of my conspiracy theory of debasing the Dollar :P )...
gopher27 (1606 D Mod)
07 Oct 11 UTC
Jeez your worldview is messed up. It is the people at the top of the social pyramid who are most concerned about "Climate Change" as they use it as an excuse to shift the tax structure downward and pull the ladder up after themselves. The people who live out in the SUV-driving exurbs are not the plutocrats of our society. They are the middle class who are substituting gasoline and commute time for reasonable property values as the affluent chase them out of the cities. And it is so truly noble and broadminded of you to save all of the colorful people of the Earth from a meat based diet and vote to keep them in their quaint villages without electricity or running water from big bad waste treatment facilities.
gopher27 (1606 D Mod)
07 Oct 11 UTC
AdamNTM, we are nowhere near peak oil. This is about the 6th time that we've been running out of oil. High prices have always been the cure for high prices. The investment cycles are long across commodities. Small miscalculations can have big price effects and it can take time for supply to catch up, but it always has. Real Oil prices will come down as will copper and iron ore prices just as NatGas has.

QE3 is unlikely in the general since. Operation Twist is well under way.

AdamNTM.....why within your framework are "they" trying to debase the dollar? It will not have the effect of drowning the sheeple in debt; the effect will be the opposite. So is it just to dismantle national sovereignty and introduce the dreaded Amero?
AdamNTM (965 D)
07 Oct 11 UTC
The "powers-that-be" know that Americans will not surrender their sovereignty willingly, so they must be forced, however NOT militarily (as no one can take on the States militarily, plus the damages would be too great), but rather financially, by having them commit "unknowingly" an ever-growing array of errors that crashes their dollar and forces them to accept a new international currency. In short, yes, the crashing of the Dollar is simply the forced surrender of national sovereignty. Don't get me wrong, I'm not yet certain if this is a bad thing per se, but it's what the plutarchs are doing, imho...
AdamNTM (965 D)

In my opinion, the evolution of the race must necessarily see a one world government; my only concern is that the world is being united by a shadow government, one that is not necessarily consented to, which forces me to ask; why? Why the clandestine approach? What's the agenda of this shadow government? Is it to subjugate the goyim? Or...?

We interrupt this broadcast for some factual antisemitism, well, just because.

Random statistical fact, Jewish women have the highest average age for a first birth of any demographic group in the US. Jewish women also give birth on average to the smallest percentage of children with Down Syndrome. I'm unaware of there being any genetic or socioeconomic link to the well established age correlated development of extra-chromosomal mutations. Just a random observation....like that Chinese American women, including those into the 5th and 6th generation, produce in total roughly 108 boys for every 100 girls (according to a Stanford study).
