Well, it's now Saturday. Which is after the final Friday deadline.
And while it seems Group A kept their shit together and got things done, Group B is a nightmarish clusterfuck of dropouts, replacements and incomplete games.
Superflemgobuious's replacement didn't hear back from 2/3 opponents, so we can assume (if alokomot can produce proof that he PMed them, which would be easy, screencap the PMs in your inbox) that Jimbozig and gman314 dropped out. ezpickens's replacement also hasn't played two games he was supposed to play. One was Jimbozig, who is presumed to have dropped out; the other is myrmidon. It sounds like SacredDigits was waiting for myrmidon to PM him, but for some reason the game didn't get started. Not sure who's at fault there. They'll have to resolve that.
In any case, I'm extremely disappointed with how Group B finished. I know it benefits me but I honestly think the fairest thing to do is to take the top four people from Group B who actually finished their games, because while some of the game loads were indeed high, there's no excuse for people just refusing to answer PMs to get the games started and no reason for people unreliable enough not even to play preliminary games to get the chance to ruin the playoff by dropping out.
So that would be Devonian (1), LanGaidin (2), President Eden (3) and... we'd have to take the fifth from Group A, if we required people to have finished all their games.
