Large World Game ...with Nukes!
I designed a large somewhat current world power game that is very unbalanced and very crazy towards the games end (nukes start to fly all over the place). Somehow it works out in the end (if you survive that is) by way of a political aspect of the game (a voting procedure that can't be ignored).

Trying to wind down
Folks, I'm trying hard not to join any more games for the time being. I started Radiation treatment last week and don't have as much time as I would have hoped to invest in the games I'm playing.

I'm sorry for any inconvenience this will cause but will be returning in February or March depending on how I feel after being zapped with enough radiation to make me glow in the dark for centuries.

Imagonnalose Mini-Tourney
Hello friends!

I have a little mini-tourney that I would like as many of you as wish to do so, play a series of 1v1 tactical diplomacy games that will allow me to find some good quality 1v1'ers to play against. I know there are a few of you who are quite active with these types of games, so I will present the following guidelines:

Thanks guys. I'm not at all surprised to see El Cremoso doing so well. He is one of the top 1v1 players and our games are always very close. Looking forward to the finals.

El Cremoso vs. Battalion just finished. All the games were very good, but El Cremoso pulled out a close victory in each.

it was fun playing with you, Battalion. let's do it again sometime.

AvF - Austria win - gameID=17672
FvA - France win - gameID=17671
IvG - Italy win - gameID=17670
GvI - Germany win - gameID=17668

It was good playing you too. I'm just sorry that I wasn't more of a worthy opponent! I'll settle for having beaten you at Duo once...
El Cremoso (1728 D)

Haha. I just got really lucky, Battalion. You were a great opponent. We will do it again.

HEAR YE, HEAR YE! The battlefield has drawn silent, with muskets lowered and sabres sheathed below a settling fog revealing the fallen heroes. Upon this glorious theater of multiple challengers, a single victor has risen above the din. For as it was stated in the greatest undertaking of art in the modern world, the film Highlander, "There can be only one."

I present your champion, Brettj72. Brett defeated El Cremoso 3-1, winning as Austria, France and Italy. Despite the best efforts of El Cremoso, there was no stopping the blitzkrieg death machine that is Brettj72's forces. Our battles were legendary, for they have created the legend of Brett, master of vdip and vanquisher of foes. Gameids below:

gameID=17903 Brett wins as France
gameID=17904 Brett wins as Austria
gameID=17905 Brett wins as Italy
gameID=17906 El Cremoso wins as Italy

Brett is as handsome as he is noble, and his military grandeur is only surpassed by his endowed bulge and the ensuing clamor it causes among the womenfolk thereupon. In this most majestic of tournaments, Brett finished with a sterling record of 8 wins, 2 losses and 2 draws, vanquishing GOD, ccga4 and El Cremoso along the way.

Three cheers for Brettj72! Huzzah! Huzzah! Huzzah!!!
El Cremoso (1728 D)

srsly though, great job, Brett. you were a damn tough opponent, and it is always a pleasure to play against you.

and thanks to imagonnalose for setting it up. now if we can just get some color commentary on his favorite matches, special awards, etc., i think everyone would be pleased.

what say ye, imagonnalose? youagonnawrite us some reviews of our play? ;)

I think El Cremoso and Brett need to play on Empire one on one. Raw diplomacy skill vs. total map mastery.

Thanks guys. This tournament was a lot of fun. I'd love to play again sometime.

variants with less than half scs for solo win
what happens in variants where less than half of the scs are required to win if multiple people meet the requirements, and are tied, or even if they are not.

Westeros (Game of Thrones world) Variant
So a while back I made a Westeros variant on paper to play with some friends of mine and it worked pretty well. I was wondering if anyone on here who knows how to code would be able to help me get it up on the site and/or if it is easy to learn how to do.

New Variant Idea
Ok, so I have what I think is a pretty good idea for a variant, but I know no coding whatsoever. Is it relatively easy, just a bit of reading an research, or should I partner up with someone who does? If so, would drawing my map out on Photoshop help?
