You are probably right. Although maybe Egypt should be given to the last 2 people to join up as they wont have the most ideal starting points. I see someone posting looking for 2 partners in another forum post and it is clear that he is trying to dominate Africa by grabbing 3 countries there. That doesn't sound too fair to the two remaining Africans... I just want this to be as balanced as possible before we begin seeing how long the game may last :)

I see it as if Egypt gets two random allies as the last two people to join the chances are that they would be in Asia or north America and do him no good and a team in Africa could easily kill him. Which is unfair for Egypt. And as to a 3 person team "monopolizing" Africa as was said in another thread a team of two could just as easily convince someone from another team to ally with them and have basically a team of 3 that could last till the end of the game. So Philippines and Austria could easily convince I don't know Thailand or Oceania to be friendly with them and dominate the pacific area.

It isn't really fair to Egypt, but a gracious player has already offered to play in that position (see other thread) when all the other slots have been filled. It would be better to isolate the unfairness to Egypt (who would still have two allies albeit not in the most ideal locations) then to an entire continent or region if possible.

I can see how an African triple could be OP, but Egypt is completely UP and won't be much help in a two man team. You also haven't considered the fact that if there is an African triple, then most likely the surrounding countries will actually be more hostile towards them and could possibly kill them off first. I won't make rules on who you can partner with. I was hoping to see Egypt have an ally in the middle east and Africa which to me would be most ideal for Egypt. I want to see what teams are formed as countries right next to each other or near each other may not be the most powerful team. Divide and conquer! That would be my ideal team. Like a UK-Cuba team, Canada-Manchuria team, or a Catholica-Egypt-Central Asia team would be interesting. Like I said no rules on who can be in a team together.

No USA is open so that is a good partner for UK. Also don't feel bad for Congo even if he doesn't have a nearby partner. South Africa's partner won't be able to help him in Africa so I see an alliance there as well as a probable alliance with egypt. You can still ally with whoever you want, but you can only meta game with one person.

California is can still ally with song empire and oceania needs someone to join as Incan for him to ally with.

@HC- or they can make completely random teams if they want... they don't HAVE to form the teams you are suggesting...
