Butter, just because a thing looks one way does not mean it is actually that way. Also, i had no idea who was who in the grey text game, since i try not to figure out who people are in anon games. And i don't carry over grudges between maps, though maybe you do so i guess i can understand you expecting other people to. I do try and learn about the other players as i play them, but i think it would be stupid to play non anon games and then say there should be no learning about different people's play styles.
For instance for a while i trusted your much vaunted honor's reputation, and so took bigger risks trusting you than i would with most people. Now, because i have been stabbed by you a few times, i no longer give weight to that aspect of your reputation, so i'm not going to bear my belly to you. That isn't metagaming, since i am not saying, oh, it's a game with butter involved. My sole mission is to destroy him/get him a win. I'm saying, oh look, it is butter. You can trust him to an extent, but he will be self serving too, just like everyone is in diplomacy.
