Interesting Issue
Something has happened to this site on my computer. The font is smaller and different, and so is the in-game (not zoomed) map. there is no change to any other websites. I am currently in 4 or so Chaos games, could that cause the smaller font? I am in about 8 games total, if that matters

Why can I not read a reply from another use? Help
I have a message from Oli, but I can only see the first line. If I click on Oli (his name) it brings up a blank page. And there does not seem to be anywhere else to click.

Team Game!
Chaos- Team game.
here's how it will go down. we will set up the game, when the game starts, I will Put the names of all countries in a hat. I will draw ten teams of 3, and one team of 4, and those will be the alliances. I understand there will be concerns with me stacking alliances, but do not fear. I want to see this succeed, so I have no incentive to cheat.

1066 Conversion Option
I was wondering what others think about adding a conversion option at each country's home SCs to allow fleets to turn into armies, and vice versa.

Antilles bug in World War IV

I just got booted from Bio Bio(BIO). It's giving me the option to withdraw to Antilles(ANT). I think I'll forego the move even though it looks like an interesting strategy.

Points not working
Hey guys. I've been trying to create new games, but every time a click submit, the entry points keep going to 1....It doesnt matter what I put it as, it keeps going back to 1. Does anyone know why?

?1066 issue?
ok - I'm in the Irish sea with a fleet - but I cannot see if there is any unit positioned at Hadrian's Wall.

I understand that my fleet cannot move or support there, but surely I should be able to see if there is any army there...

It's because of the missing move-links that you can't see Hadrian's Wall. I'll try to change this but it's really not that easy.

Last game I played on 1066, I couldn't convoy to Hadrian's Wall either - was this fixed Oli?

According to the rules of the variant, fleets can't affect Hadrian's Wall - meaning they can't convoy into it.

as I understand convoying - the fleet doesn't move to a land-space, only allows for the army to move over the sea space...

the only thing Fleets can do to affect HW I believe is support a move OUT of Hadrians wall.

@butterhead: No they can't do this...
in the rules for the variant, it doesn't mention not being able to support armies attacking from the wall to say york, or edi.

As i understand it, it is like there are very narrow strips of land that are impassible (much like Switzerland) on both coastal edges of Hadrian's wall, such that is is effectively an inland province with no coasts. However, like burgundy for example, fleets could still support it TO somewhere, (IE mar or gas)

this is an interesting point.
when we decided to create Hadrian's Wall as a land territory, we forgot the effect it would have had on convoys - I personally was quite pi***d off during my very first game ;P
but I think it may have sense.. the Wall is a wall, and fleets cannot do anything about it. soldiers cannot get down the ships and up the wall in the same turn......

Maybe you can add 2 separate coast territories that have 2 borders. One to the sea territory and one (upstairs) to HW. Fleets could land there and convoy armies there, but the only way for fleets would be upstairs to HW.
but this way we miss the main feature of the Wall: blocking any invasion of/from Scotland.
with the present map, if you want to access to Scotland you must have wither two fleets or a fleet and the Wall.

@Tadar: My idea wouldn't screw that, because invading Scotland you would still need the wall (The two coast-territories would only border the wall and the sea)

I think I gave the reasons for this before - convoys (as I understand it) are simply armies being moved over bodies of water, it is the army moving, not the fleet. The fleet is simply a unit that facilitates movement, not the mover itself.

1 v 1 strategy
I play a lot of these variants and rarely seem to win. I usually hold my own on the classic map style matches with 7 players but these 1v1 things are too difficult for me.

How do you guys play these? What strategies work?
