If I may, I would vote for rulebook press. Some of us get a little busy and not having to talk during build/retreat phases is nice. A good compromise between gunboat and full I think

Hmm, I'm a maybe if it's rulebook and a turn phase of at least 2-days, having said that I'd suggest that a gentleman's agreement is made to ready retreats/disbands and builds asap.

Yeah, I'm on board with quick processing. I'd prefer not to have phases longer than 2 days if possible - I'm too impatient and I lose interest easily with longer phases.

Sounds good, but I can see issues with ready up, i.e., someone’s just late and would NMR if the move processed, but instead goes to the deadline and oriole get upset. Or someone just takes longer than others would like, or forgets. Too bad we can’t just set 24 hrs for retreats and builds.

I am not in for Rulebook Press (the entire point of asynchronous communication is that you *don't* have to synch up times, so arbitrarily blocking messages for up to 60% of gametime is actively sapping engagement for *literally no benefit*), but I will suck that up if you need exactly +1 for Known World or Haven since I know numbers can be awkward at those counts.

I'd looove to join, but it's not very feasible at the moment, and it might hinder game integrity.... I'll wait for a moment before committing to an answer just yet!

If you think you meet the criteria and are keen, please post here. While I ALWAYS do poorly on Known World, it is the most balanced and we're only 1 player off.

I'll send an invite code when we have the numbers. Can I also suggest that we keep a similar criteria for replacement players if we have a CD eg maybe a Mod can replace a player meeting the criteria & already expressed an interest rather than anyone random stumbling into the game.

I'd definitely vote for giving two of the GOD/JECE/gopher etc interested group places, over me (if the goal is 15 for Known World).

I am wondering whether if you poll the players on their preferences, Rulebook Press would win over Public Press, by the way.

Seeing I'm organsing and public press is really hard when you're not in the American timezone, public press won't be happening.

Can players who are in the game weigh in on the criteria of approx 1800 vDip points vs lowering it a little, particulalry on mouse's preference and Mercy no longer in.

- Fine if you need to lower the threshold
- Like the idea of a Mod replacing any CD with a qualifying or close-to qualifying player that’s already expressed interest

- Keen for Known World
- Happy to lower the threshold, especially if it's to admit experienced players. V-dip points are limited in determining player quality, and you probably have a good feel for who is a good player.
- Mod replacements are a good idea
- if it's still open for discussion I'd vote for full press over rulebook (and share my distaste for public)

There are a lot of super experienced players that just didn't win a game with huge stakes. The ones you've listed are amongst them. So I have no issue with that. I've been playing for just about 3 years, so I'm noob in comparison with some of them

Don't discount yourself Johny. I met Bradley Grace over at WDC. He's only being playing for 2 years and just won virtuals and only *just* missed out on playing the top board at WDC.
