I'd be okay with unranked, although I prefer ranked, those are still normal games afterall, we just play a lot of them :D

If, after the first round, the top three wanted to rank the second round, I'd be good with that.

Glad to see a ninth player has revealed himself. After YCHTT asked me so nicely to fill in the last remaining spot (that is now already covered by Maucat), i've decided that in case a reserve player is needed - i'd be glad to take the spot. Hit me up if you guys need me.

Just a heads up that from (Australia time) 9 - 15 December I'll be away and won't have regular internet. So during that week I won't be doing any tourney director stuff. The existing games can keep going, just I may not kick off new ones.

Do any players want to have a pause or similar between Christmas and New Years?

I'd like an extend on Christmas Eve/Day if a turn is expected to run as well as New Years Eve/Day. But an extend is fine, no need to pause.

The other solution would have been to set the territory to -.5 with a holding unit having a 1.5 strength That results in empty territories have strength -.5 and territories with units having strength 1. From there, standard holds and adjustment for rivers work perfectly.

Update for folks in the 1066 tourney...

Short version: Tourney won't start now until week commencing 18 December

Longer version: I go on holidays on 9 December for a week. I'll be cruising with unreliable internet. I hoped I'd have the tourney started by now but with recording a podcast episode, normal big work shit, and trying to get the editing and show notes for the podcast done before I go on holidays, the tourney won't be starting until 18 Dec.

Apologies to all. Wish I could be a better tourney director, but things have got in the way.

And a week after that is Christmas followed by New Years a week later. Perhaps delay until the first of the year (Jan 2 maybe)?

I'm cool with that if others can wait too
