I think each player would need a shot to play both countries with total SC's deciding the winner.

I think it should be a round robin, which at the end of the tourney has a playoffs to decide the winner.

I like ashleygirls suggestion, however inorder to implement that we would need oli to help us set up each game... (I have played 7 AvF, and not once have I played as France)

I would love to play but I am going on vacation for three weeks in July and I will be taking a break from playing until I get back. Maybe we could do another one if this one is a hit. As for getting each country once the players could always cancel a game until they get the country they need.

That would be painful. I was actually thinking about starting this mid August, but just wanted to see if there was any interest (of I course I could start earlier...)

I'd have to agree, I can't ensure how available I'll be in august. I'll be going off to college and unsure what free-time I'll have.

I will play in this tournament aswell... we should of course use a 1 point buy in or something to allow many games at once and speed up the slow round-robin style

We have 9-10 people signed up so far. I'll wait for another 2-3 players before starting.
Also could I request that we all announce the timezone we are in, that way for scheduling purposes, people will more frequently play those in their own timezone (or nearby) so we can move the tourney along faster.

@fasces-If you want to limit it at 12(ez and langaidin make 12 if ashley still is in) I have made a sheet if you want too see it that would give you an Idea on a good format for the tourney... naturally, its your decision, but its a suggestion...

what I meant is, we also want fairness by giving both players the chance at each country..

right now it is in a round robin format... it would be easy enough to set it up in double round robin format, since all I would have to do is duplicate it... but also, making sure each player gets each country is ALOT of work, it would require oli to either temporarily give someone mod powers so they could do it, or him do it himself, and I am sure he is too busy to do that for 20+ games...
right now how I set it up in the sheet is, each player plays 11 games(since there is 12 of us), then the top 6 advance, we each play the other 5 of the top 6 once, top 4 advance, each play the other 3, top 2 advance, and the finals...
